MIT News: Understanding community effects of Asian immigrants' US housing purchases

A study by Amanda Ang, Eunjee Kwon, and Siqi Zheng, published in the Journal of Urban Economics, finds that 30 to 40 percent of home price growth in counties receiving Asian immigrants on non-permanent visas is attributable to improved K-12 education quality, measured by rising standardized test scores among all children in the county.
