Post-doc Seunghoon Lee receives tenure-track position at University of Missouri

SUL is thrilled to announce, our own post-doc associate, Seunghoon Lee, just accepted a job offer to become a tenure-track assistant professor at the Economics Department at the University of Missouri.

Seunghoon received his PhD from the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago, and then joined SUL as a post-doc associate. He has done great research about economic mechanisms of climate impact and adaptation. He has several single authored papers; and is also working with Professor Siqi Zheng and other coauthors on three new papers – (1) climate and retail, (2) sunny day flooding and housing market; and (3) illegal dumping’s consequences.  He was a key co-organizer of the December 2022 MIT Climate and Real Estate Symposium.

After a difficult job search, submitting many applications to universities all over the world. His hard work paid off – he received 4 offers from top-tier universities in Asia and North America! Eventually he chose to go to University of Missouri. The economics department will find Seunghoon to be a valuable asset.

Congratulations to Seunghoon! Your contributions to the lab are immeasurable.
